At the age of 14, Ali came up with the idea of WHATCHADO, a manual for life stories. At the time he was disoriented. The only way out for him personally was to talk to as many people as possible and question them about their jobs, their backgrounds, their careers and how they got to where they were in life.
2010, when Ali was teaching at a high school, he noticed that his students were just as disoriented as himself 20 years ago.
At this time, he had already come up with a concept of that said manual of life stories, however, it was his students who triggered his need for a video platform prototype. A platform on which people from all over the world, no matter of what cultural background, would talk about their careers and inspire other people to find their calling and follow their dreams.
Until today Ali’s ambition is to motivate every single one of us worldwide to find our true purpose – regardless of our heritage, sex, sexuality, age, religion or skin colour.
A rapid start as a non profit club with a quick growth that needed Ali’s full time attention, lead to the foundation of his company in 2012 – with the help of his friends Jubin, Stefan and Manuel. They received important support by their ‘partner in crime’ and business angel, Hansi Hansmann, from the very beginning.
On WHATCHADO.COM nearly 6000 people from 100 nations talk about their lives, their jobs, their career developments. This platform is set up in 5 languages, its company runs with approx. 40 employees from 10 different nations and has been internationally awarded multiple times.
